Champions of raw blues and swinging soul, The Untouchables base their sound on the great artists who recorded for Chess Records in the 50s. 
With a string bass, a vintage drum kit, a cranked guitar through a hot valve amp and a wailing harp, this band turns any venue into a rocking juke joint.

John has had a varied and amazing career to date, including support dates with rock luminaries such as JIMI HENDRIX, JANIS JOPLIN, THE WHO and JOHN MAYALL’S BLUESBREAKERS. Currently touring to promote his latest album ‘TONE HOUND – on the last train to Corona’, John is joined at The Bear Club by drummer Bob Henrit (ARGENT, KINKS).

ANDY FLEET

Songwriter, vocalist and piano man Andy Fleet is joined by a red-hot band that features American trumpeter Andre Canniere (“one of the most compelling artists on the current jazz scene” - The Scotsman), Joe Evans on drums and Zane Maertens on electric bass. They pour blues, rock, folk and jazz into a melting pot and create a unique, rich, cinematic and sultry sound reminiscent of Tom Waits, Joe Jackson, Randy Newman, Donald Fagen and Lindsey Buckingham.

Andy will be performing music from both of his studio albums (The Night Falls Fast and Takin’ Aim) as well as new tracks from his forthcoming album Through Closed Eyes. The band will also throw in a handful of cool covers by Leiber & Stoller, Allen Toussaint and REM, amongst others.

M.A.D. TRIO

Playing exciting original compositions and some jazz classics with their own arrangements, the band combines the lyrical phrasing approach of pianist Emilio Merone, with solid and expressive double bass playing from Milko Ambrogini and the creative drumming of Gaetano Di Giacomo.

They have performed in many prestigious venues. Ronnie Scott’s, 606 Club, Jazz Cafe, Spice of Life, Charlie Wright, Pizza Express, The Archduke and all over the Milan jazz music scene.

SWINGATTO

Swingatto was born from Antonio Feula’s passion for gypsy jazz. The project features Matt on clarinetAntonio on guitar and Milko on double bass. The repertoire covers most of the Django Reihardt songs plus many other great tunes from the 1920 and 1930.

A special event seeing the launch of Graham's new cd 'Parish Papers & Short Stories, with songs stripped bare but retaining the warmth and passion of an artist at the top of his game.

Expect a journey through writer's songbook with some covers thrown in from singers and writers that have inspired and a nod to some legends who have recently passed including Ben E King and Percy Sledge. 

With Support from Dan Raza a young up and coming singer songwriter who has shared the stage with Joan Armatrading.

Cherry returns with her fantastic band, for a 3rd date with The Bear. 

Championed by Imelda May and Seasick Steve, Cherry is a power-house singer-songwriter who together with her smokin' hot band, produces a unique sound incorporating dashes of ragtime, country blues, a couple blades of bluegrass and a pinch of Americana.

Highlights so far have included Cherry being the 'Artist in Session' on Paul Jones' BBC Radio 2 show where she was invited with her band to record 4 tracks at the legendary Maida Vale Studios. Opening up for Robin Trower and Albert Lee, returning to the Mississippi with band member Nick Slater to perform at Morgan Freeman's Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale where the man himself came down to see them perform.
