Rebecca De Winter’s delightful and kooky repertoire features new material and songs about books, Campanologists, French boats and seagulls, a shy bride, a London tailor and a lady from Bedford adorned solely in Edwardian fashions! The songs are developed like a series of imagined film stills and delivered with narrative, emotion and storytelling at heart. Rebecca’s acoustic three-piece has supported the likes of 10cc’s Graham Gouldman, International Music Award winners ‘The Webb Sisters, Ivor Novello Award nominees ‘The Leisure Society’ and San Diego Music Award winner ‘Eve Selis’ to name a few.

Buzzard Lope are an alternative trio (sometimes more) ploughing the raucous and melancholic furrows of Tom Waits and Elliott Smith. Expect ferocious and tender moments alike, delivered with aplomb and top drawer musicianship.

MARK CHERRIE ‘STEEL PAN’ JAZZ QUARTET

CHERRIE.jpeg

A jazz quartet like no other; this one is fronted by Mark Cherrie, a steel pan player who is one of the few players in the world playing this instrument in a jazz context.  Formed in 2016, the quartet came together on a studio date. Comprising  John Donaldson, Eric Ford and Mick Hutton, the band is not at all tropical but firmly in the jazz tradition. In this context, Mark proves himself to be a fluid improviser, frequently trading with the other musicians. Sometimes swinging but always beautifully empathetic playing,, the band is completely unique.

NORTH ARK

Joe Hill's North Ark is a new jazz septet, started in 2017.
