LUKE TUCHSCHERER

Singer/songwriter Luke Tuchscherer, of alt.country band The Whybirds, has launched a solo project off the back of a new record, called You Get So Alone At Times That it Just Makes Sense.

Recorded with producer Tom Peters, the album reflects the more acoustic side of Tuchscherer’s songwriting – featuring confessional songs, storytelling and social commentary – and has attracted universal critical acclaim. The album was voted second best album of the year in Americana UK's reader's poll (and Luke was named second best male artist) and featured on multiple "Best of 2014" lists.

MA POLAINE'S GREAT DECLINE

Following the 2015 release of debut album “Got Me Out Of Hell”, blues and roots influenced Ma Polaine’s Great Decline continue to build a reputation as an unique and hard to pigeon-hole act, with the live show drawing curiosity and emotion with inventive song-writing and on-stage instrument changes.

Described as “like a young Billie Holiday gate-crashing a Tom Waits Swordfishtrombones recording session”, with a sound that “wouldn’t be out of place in a speakeasy or the Left Bank”, “Got Me Out Of Hell” has received high praise from radio presenters and reviewers alike, with all nine tracks getting radio play across the UK.

Recently Ma Polaine’s Great Decline were nominated for a British Blues Award, were winners of the Reveal Records emerging artist competition, and 2014 EP release title track “Suffer It Well” was a semi-finalist in the international song writing competition.
