JOHN VERITY BAND

A return to The Bear for an incredible rock 'n' roll blues trio led by John Verity (Argent) and featuring drummer Bob Henritt (The Kinks) and bass player Mark Griffiths (The Shadows). 

Featuring SUPRO amps and a sound set-up that will enthuse any music fan, this is a gig filled with great tunes and first-rate musicianship, up close!

John has had a varied and amazing career to date, including support dates with rock luminaries such as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Who and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. Currently touring to promote his latest album ‘TONE HOUND – on the last train to Corona’.

Bedford/Northampton based power trio Thr3e bring a blend of blues/rock to the Bear Club to celebrate the launch of their debut album ’30 Day Hop’. The night promises to be an exciting event with a mix of original tunes from the album with the odd cover from the likes of Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Johnson and Cream thrown in for good measure. On the night the new album, featuring 12 original tracks, will be available for a special ‘Bear Club Only’ price of just £5.00.

JOHN EMIL

John Emil Montagnino, an accomplished singer/songwriter, guitarist, and a master of slide guitar, has delivered show stopping performances at major music festivals like the Telluride Blues and Brews Fest and the 2012 Zoetemeer Blues Festival in the Netherlands.

We're thrilled to have John visit us during his brief tour of the UK. Expect a night of blues and American roots music, traditional and original compositions, played on acoustic Hawaiian Lap steel guitar and Dobro.

Focus on Jazz returns by reuniting two members of legendary 80s jazz funk band Morrissey Mullen; Noel McCalla (Manfred Man’s Earth Band, Sniff and the Tears) and guitarist Jim Mullen (Average White Band, Incognito), for an exciting night of soul and gospel.

Support is from Luton-born jazz singer Cherise Adams-Burnett.

The final instalment of Graham's monthly Bear residences for a while sees him bring some exciting new material to the stage, along with the release of his new album Parish Papers & Short Stories. 

Always a great night, Graham brings to the stage a vast and eclectic mix of influences encompassing Soul, Blues, Country, Gospel, Jazz and the Celtic muse.

With four CDs to his credit, he is a prolific writer who engages his audience with his passionate and powerful soulful voice, gained through experience of treading a musical path in five decades of gigs, festivals and tours .
