JIM HAMMOND QUARTET

This is high-volume, high-quality rhythm and blues with more than a hint of rockabilly and surf guitar thrown in for good measure. Jim Hammond is a fine boogie-woogie piano player and a master of rock 'n' roll electric guitar but he also sings and plays a mean squeezebox and anything else that comes to hand.

Add to that some great harmonica playing from JD Harmo, and a tight rhythm section in Greggi G (bass) and Bill Crittenden (drums and vocals), and the quartet serves up some of the finest R'n'B on the circuit.

We welcome them to The Bear for what promises to be a night of good house-rockin' rhythm and blues.

I’ve been fortunate enough to meet and share the stage with some extremely talented players. I have also met a few that I can only describe as truly gifted... Jim Hammond without doubt falls into this category
— Steve "West" Weston
Jim’s music is rockabilly, boogie-woogie and blues, both on guitar, slide guitar and keyboards. He’s a great singer too
— Mervyn Stutter (Flying Pickets)
