Leonardo Giuliani is a UK-based independent musician, guitarist, and singer-songwriter whose work is deeply rooted in rock, blues, country and folk traditions. His musical style draws significant inspiration from the late 1960s and 1970s, an era celebrated for its raw, improvisational performances and genre-blending creativity.
In 2023, Giuliani released his debut album, Rogue, a 13-track collection of original songs that showcase his commitment to organic and heartfelt songwriting. The album was produced by four-time Grammy winner Tom Hambridge, who also contributed drums. Notable collaborators include guitarist Phil Palmer, and guitar legend Robben Ford, who features on the track “Ease My Blue.” Rogue was recorded at Forward Studios in Rome and The Switchyard Studio in Nashville, highlighting Giuliani's international musical connections.
Giuliani's dedication to authentic, emotionally resonant music has earned him recognition in both the UK and the US. In 2019, he was honored with an invitation to perform at Buddy Guy’s Legends club in Chicago, the first of various occasions where he shared the stage with Buddy Guy amongst others.
His new album is currently being recorded in the historic Abbey Road Studios. He plays tonight with long time collaborator Simon Spies (drums) and Will Inscoe (keys).
“… Leonardo Giuliani knows what the better class of people want. He takes no chances in that respect yet the mark of class is in there too and you can’t argue with that either.”
“…this is an artist who has spent considerable time soaking up a rich array of blues influences and he’s an impressive guitarist with some nifty blues licks. Highly recommended.”
