Simeon Hammond Dallas was born and raised in the rich musical and cultural melting pot of Camden Town, growing up listening to her parent’s eclectic record collection which spanned artists from The Cranberries to Ella Fitzgerald. Her music provides a unique take on classic genres, fusing country, blues, and soul music to create her own blend of Americana, whilst keeping the integrity of a true Londoner.
After showcasing in Nashville at AmericanaFest, making her BBC Radio 2 live debut, and featuring on BBC 4’s Woman's Hour, an exciting year is in store for Simeon with her new EP Seventeen scheduled for release in May, accompanied by a debut UK headline tour.
The EP’s first single, "Do I Die", takes her trademark country blues sound in a more commercial direction. It gained a Top 40 position on the UK Country Airplay chart, secured a spot on the third biggest UK Apple Music editorial playlist Today’s Country, and achieved radio play on multiple shows across the country, including BBC Scotland and Whispering Bob Harris’ Country Show on BBC Radio 2.
Through a catalogue filled with intersectional storytelling, Simeon gives voice to a generation wrangling with the complexities of modern life.
“A no-f***’s-given, distinctly millennial take on Americana and blues, that sounds like Bonnie Raitt would have if her songs had been written by Alanis Morissette”
“She is the whole package”
“A match for the best voices on the UK scene”
