Since 2016, The Fabulous Red Diesel has been making mischievous jazz, soulful melodies, and outrageous tuba solos. Based in Hastings, they are one of the most hardworking original bands on the circuit today, and their hard work is now starting to bear some very juicy fruit.
The Fabulous Red Diesel is happiest in the middle of the audience, taking them for the ride of their lives through Latin, funk, soul, swing, and even a hint of gypsy punk.
Expect red-hot soaring vocals, hooky soulful tunes, groovy piano, funky flute, a totally skin-tight rhythm section… oh, and zog trumpets. Absolutely will contain tuba.
Featuring Kat Lee-Ryan (keys and vocals), Wil Lee-Ryan (drums), Simon Dobbell aka “Rabbi Jaffa Delicious” (trumpet and other “sounds”), and Beatrice Gullick aka “Miss Bea-Have” (double bass).
