Jonny Liebeck Quintet

Join us for an unforgettable evening of exciting original music from London-based jazz pianist and composer, Jonny Liebeck. With his band of top young musicians, he will be performing tunes from his latest EP, Influences, featuring compositions inspired by contemporary jazz and electronic dance music genres such as jungle, breakbeat, and deep house.

Expect a fusion of soulful jazz harmony, luscious sound textures, lyrical guitar and sax melodies, groovy basslines, and intricate breakbeats to get you up on your feet.

A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and Trinity Laban, Jonny gigs all over London and has performed at venues including the Southbank Centre, Royal Albert Hall, 606 Club, and Pizza Express. He has played keyboards for Mica Paris at The Round Chapel and performed with Cuban jazz violinist Omar Puente at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

This is jazz with at least one foot on the dancefloor…

Featuring Jonny Liebeck (keyboard), Donovan Haffner (alto sax), Owen Snider (guitar), Ezekiel Ajie (bass), and Andrew McLean (drums).

There is almost certainly no other musician on the London music scene who has found such instinctively musical ways to combine jazz and electronic dance music... it is almost as if he is creating a new art form
