Eliza Delf & The Wilderness are a dramatic new presence on the musical landscape. Their music joyfully trespasses across any notion of genre boundaries, combining elements of indie, gothic folk noir, and art rock. Whilst Eliza’s voice and approach have been compared with Kate Bush, Florence Welch, 90s-era Bowie, and PJ Harvey, there’s definitely some Siouxsie Sioux in the mix too.
Eliza will be showcasing music from the band's remarkable new album, Feast, along with songs from their acclaimed debut album, Into the Wilderness.
You might have caught Eliza and the band when they supported Lady Nade here last year, and they also share a cello player with The Rabbitts, who played here back in February.
Their songs are tales of mystery and imagination, full of dark and fiercely untamed imagery. It’s the flair, virtuosity, subtlety, and creativity that are the hallmarks of their live performance – all underpinning Eliza’s dramatic and mesmerising vocals.
At times hushed and fragile, at times soaring and spine-tingling, but always captivating, Eliza commands the stage and captures the imagination of the audience.
“She has taken her influences and made something her own from them. Anyone with a liking for alternative rock needs to hear this”
