THE GRAND PARADE: THE SONGS AND STORIES OF MARK HARRISON

Mark Harrison is a multi-award-nominated singer-songwriter, storyteller, and guitarist with a reputation for being unlike any other artist out there. He and his band perform all-original songs in his own distinctive style, blending rock, folk, blues, and Americana.

His performances feature memorable, melodic songs with ‘proper’ tunes and thought-provoking introductions that are integral to the show, covering a wide range of topics others don’t write about. He sings and speaks about the shared experiences, thoughts, and concerns many of us navigate today, making audiences both laugh and think.

Mark is widely regarded as one of the top roots guitarists, with a very distinctive style on resonator, 12-string, slide, and electric guitars. His band includes a fantastic rhythm section: Charles Benfield on double/electric bass and harmonies, and Ben Welburn on drums and percussion.

They’ve sold out headline shows at the Minack Theatre in Cornwall, Edinburgh Jazz & Blues, and Celtic Connections, and have performed at festivals including UK Blues, Rhythm & Rock Festival, Lakefest, Beardy Folk Festival, Jazz FM Love Supreme Festival, and Bearded Theory.

He takes very real things that happen in life and makes you think afresh about them
