Murmurations are a folk-inspired musical flock from Norwich. This all-female group combines Irish bouzouki, mandolin, cello, flute, and harmonium to create what has been referred to as "music for the moors".
This summer sees the release of their debut album, Where The Land Meets Sky, along with performances at a number of specially-selected venues.
They make quite beautiful music, laced with real emotion. If you caught The Rabbitts (also from Norwich) who played here back in February, they share some of the same influences, and at least one member.
With intimate storytelling, sweet harmonies, and powerful instrumentation, Murmurations come together to share something bigger than the sum of their parts, and are highly recommended.
