The Thumping Tommys return for their annual Christmas romp at The Bear.
Formed in north London in 2012, UK-based bluegrass/ folk band The Thumping Tommys have been wowing audiences ever since with their heady brew of barn-storming, blues-infused Irish, American and English folk music. Known for their original compositions as well as unique cover versions of an eclectic mix of songs from the folk & blues canon, The Thumping Tommys have made their mark on the club and festival circuit all over Europe.
Now in their third incarnation, The Thumping Tommys have just released their second studio album of original music, 'The Sharp Turns of Life' .
Line-up: Benedict Amadeus Scrivener (vocals, guitar), Matt Redman (banjo, mandolin, accordion, piano, percussion, mandocello + much more), Jennifer Sanin (bass, vocals) and Nathan Mansfield (violin).
Expect Dylan-esque ballads, thumping bluegrass, and devilish blues hooks—always with a touch of The Pogues for the holiday season.
