One of the foremost jazz pianists of his generation, the superb Deschanel Gordon joins us for the first time leading his own band, after playing here with Tomorrow’s New Quartet and Donovan Haffner.
This 2020 BBC Young Jazz Musician winner has collaborated with artists including Mark Kavuma, Cassie Kinoshi’s Seed, Nubya Garcia, Courtney Pine, Ezra Collective, and Jean Toussaint. His music embodies swing, groove, and his Jamaican heritage, and his ability to navigate various styles and collaborate seamlessly makes him a standout figure in the contemporary UK jazz scene.
This performance is part of our Generation Jazz series of gigs, showcasing brilliant young jazz musicians across the summer and autumn of 2025. Discounted ticket pricing applies for those under 25, students, and universal credit beneficiaries.
