Will James is an exciting new talent on the UK music scene, blending blues, jazz, and soul into powerful original music that’s performed with real passion. He has already been hailed as certified grassroots blues royalty.
Will has created quite a stir since the release of his debut record, The Age of Fear, back in 2020. Shortly after its release, he was invited by multiple-Grammy-winner John Wooler to record his next release, Sundancer, in California.
It is rare to find an artist who is a true triple threat: a brilliant guitar player, with a beautiful vocal tone, who writes powerful, emotive songs. He truly is the real deal.
On stage, Will's passionate live performances are a throwback to the greats of old, where everything is laid bare. His quartet has gained a stellar live reputation on the London scene, supporting Razorlight and Dire Straits in 2023.
His super-tight band consists of some of London’s finest musicians - Dan McConkey on saxophone, Joshua Walker Martin on drums, and Theo Malka Wishart on bass. They all feature on Will’s third album, which is scheduled for release later in the year.
