Richard Clarke is a London-based blues artist known for his intricate guitar work and stirring vocals, with nearly two decades of experience performing across Europe. Influenced by blues legends John Mayer, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and BB King, he delivers a signature blend of blues, R&B, and soul.
He began playing professionally at fifteen, cutting his teeth in local venues on the outskirts of London. His talent quickly earned him nominations for UK Blues Male Vocalist and Guitarist of the Year in 2013.
Over the next decade, he refined his craft as a founding member of Connolly Hayes, a band nominated for UK Blues Emerging Act of the Year in 2024, before leaving in October 2024 to focus on his solo career.
2025 saw the release of his debut solo EP, Good Thing, showcasing his musical range. His live shows combine melodic guitar work with infectious grooves, backed by an accomplished lineup.
The band features bassist Sonny Winslow (Connor Selby), drummer Jonny Brister (Jake Shears), and Paul Jordanous (Rag ‘n’ Bone Man) on keys and trumpet.
